Breakfast
A relaxed alfresco affair in our inner courtyard surrounded by flowers and under the shade of the olive tree - weather permitting! Enjoy the unparalleled view of the Pyrenees as you sample Mamie's homemade jams created from the fruits of our garden.

Dinner
Cedric (formerly proprietor and head chef at Les Copains d'abord restaurant, Winchester) is truly passionate about the food he serves. Respecting the best produce, be it grown here at La Benjamine or locally sourced, the food is seasonal, fresh and exciting. A typical menu may consist of fresh tomato and mascarpone tart with freshly cut salad and oven fresh bread baked in our own traditional bread oven. This could be followed by either Blonde d'aquitane cote de boeuf grilled on the chimney or wild river fish and gambas flavoured with ginger and coriander. A selection of local and regional cheese might then be served before moving on to a dessert of Roussane peaches (from nearby Monein ) oozing with Jurancon wine and served with homemade sorbet and tuiles. After dinner relax with a selection of coffee and teas with freshly baked pistachio madeleines or mini chocolate fondant.

Each Table d'hote menu includes the four courses (starter, main, cheese and dessert) with 1/2 bottle of house wine and coffee at 42 euros per head (35 euros excluding wine).

Guests can also enjoy wines which can be purchased from our excellent cellar where we have a wide range of red, white and rose wines to suit all palates (and budgets!)

If you wish to dine out there is a lovely restaurant only ten minutes drive away.

From 2007 we will not be cooking on a Tuesday evening. A great deal of care and thought goes into our food, so please let us know if you have any dietary requirements. We can offer a wonderful vegetarian menu but need to know in advance if this is required.
